What is USDC?
Updated: 2026-05-29
USDC (USD Coin) is a digital dollar. Each USDC is always worth one US dollar: 1 USDC = 1 USD, at all times.
It's issued by a company called Circle, which keeps a real dollar held for every USDC that exists. That's why it doesn't go up or down like other cryptocurrencies — it's stable.
Why does Syklo use USDC?
- It's worth the same as the dollar, so your savings don't lose value to volatility.
- It moves in seconds with almost no fee.
- It's yours: it lives in your account, not Syklo's.
When you see your balance in Syklo, it's USDC — digital dollars you can sell for your local currency whenever you want.
