By accessing and using our Services, you accept this Privacy Policy and the processing of your personal information as described here. If you do not agree, stop using the Services. We may modify this Policy at any time; when required by law, we will notify you of the changes. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or by a notice in the Services before it takes effect.

This Policy explains what data Syklo ("Syklo", "we") collects, how we use it, and what control you have over it. It applies to your use of the web app, the syklo.io site, and related services.

1. Data we collect

• Email: to create and recover your account.
• Verification data: when a feature requires it: name, ID document, and in some cases a selfie or proof.
• Payment methods: the alias or identifier of the method you choose (e.g. your Nequi or Zinli username). We never ask for or store your payment-method passwords.
• Transaction metadata: amounts, methods, timestamps, status.
• Messages and receipts within a trade's chat.
• Technical data: device type, browser, approximate IP address.

2. How we use your data

• Operate the Service: match trades, run escrow, resolve disputes.
• Verify identity and prevent fraud, money laundering, and abuse.
• Communicate with you about your account, support, and important notices.
• Improve the product through aggregate metrics.
• Meet applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

3. Legal basis

We process your data to perform the contract (provide the Service), to meet legal obligations (fraud prevention), for legitimate interest (security and product improvement), and, where applicable, with your consent (e.g. analytics cookies).

4. Who we share it with

• Trade counterparties: see only what's needed to complete payment.
• Service providers: identity verification, infrastructure, email, and analytics, under confidentiality agreements.
• Authorities: when there's a valid legal obligation.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies so the site works and to understand, in aggregate, how it's used. Analytics is provided by Google Analytics 4. Until you accept, we do not store analytics cookies; with your consent, full measurement is enabled (including session identifiers). If you decline, you can still use the site normally. You can accept or reject from the notice on entry. Cookies strictly necessary for the site to function are always on.

6. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active and for as long as needed to meet legal obligations. After that, we delete or anonymize it.

7. Your rights

• Access the data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and data, subject to legal retention obligations.

8. Security

We apply physical, electronic, and procedural security measures to protect your personal information against loss, unauthorized use or access, alteration, or disclosure, including firewalls, encryption, and access controls limited to people who need it for their work. Still, no system is foolproof: we cannot guarantee that loss or unauthorized access will never occur. You also play a key role: choose a strong password, do not share it, and notify us right away if you notice unauthorized use of your account.

9. Minors

The Service is not directed at people under 18, and we don't knowingly collect data from minors.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. We'll post the current version with its update date and, for significant changes, notify you through the usual channels.
