This Policy explains what data Syklo ("Syklo", "we") collects, how we use it, and what control you have over it. It applies to your use of the web app, the syklo.io site, and related services.

1. Data we collect

What you give us

• Email — to create and recover your account.
• Verification data (KYC) — when a feature requires it: name, ID document, and in some cases a selfie or proof.
• Payment methods — the alias or identifier of the method you choose (e.g. your Nequi or Zinli username). We don't store your banking passwords.

Generated by using the Service

• Transaction metadata: amounts, methods, timestamps, status.
• Messages and receipts within a trade's chat.
• Technical data: device type, browser, approximate IP address.

2. Data we do NOT collect

• Your private keys — they live in your non-custodial account; we have no access.
• Your banking passwords or payment-app credentials.
• Full credit card data.

3. How we use your data

• Operate the Service: match trades, run escrow, resolve disputes.
• Verify identity and prevent fraud, money laundering, and abuse.
• Communicate with you about your account, support, and important notices.
• Improve the product through aggregate metrics.
• Meet applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Legal basis

We process your data to perform the contract (provide the Service), to meet legal obligations (KYC / fraud prevention), for legitimate interest (security and product improvement), and, where applicable, with your consent (e.g. analytics cookies).

5. Who we share it with

• Trade counterparties — see only what's needed to complete payment.
• Service providers — identity verification, infrastructure, email, and analytics, under confidentiality agreements.
• Authorities — when there's a valid legal obligation.

We do not sell your personal data.

6. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies so the site works and to understand, in aggregate, how it's used. You can accept or reject analytics cookies from the notice that appears on entry. Cookies strictly necessary for the site to function are always on.

7. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active and for as long as needed to meet legal obligations (e.g. KYC and anti-fraud records). After that, we delete or anonymize it.

8. Your rights

• Access the data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and data, subject to legal retention obligations.
• Object to or limit certain processing.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No system is 100% foolproof — which is why the non-custodial model is a structural protection: your funds aren't on a server someone could drain.

10. Minors

The Service is not directed at people under 18, and we don't knowingly collect data from minors.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. We'll post the current version with its update date and, for significant changes, notify you through the usual channels.
